Veronica has been a pioneer in providing Chicana/o artists, dancers, and musicians with a venue to showcase their talents in the Ventura area. Being a visual artist and dancer herself, she realized early on that opportunities to exhibit culturally relevant art and participating at events as an Aztec dancer were limited. Veronica took it upon herself to establish "Under the Sun Gallery" at Bell Arts Factory in Ventura in order to fill this void. Not only were the artworks of many Chicana/o visual artists exhibited, but dancers and musicians participated in opening art receptions as well as other cultural events. This synergy of talented individuals and art lovers brought together a wide range of community members who, many times, had never met before. Although "Under the Sun Gallery" no longer has its own studio space at Bell Arts Factory, Veronica continues to curate and host Chicana/o art exhibitions in the Janet Addison Community Room at Bell Arts Factory.
